Our story
A founder's note
Perfume has always been my passion. I vividly remember the way my grandmother’s perfume flacons were elegantly arranged on her dressing table. One had a vintage vaporizer that fascinated me endlessly. And I can still feel the excitement of my cousin and me playing with a collection of fragrance samples, testing, trading, and sniffing until every scent blurred into one.
My journey took me into the heart of the luxury perfume industry, from Amsterdam to New York, where I worked as a marketing manager. Yet, my love for fragrance goes beyond just its scent. Perfume is a gateway to emotions, memories, and confidence – it has the power to make people feel their best, boldest selves.
Over the years, I’ve seen the complexities of integrating sustainability within large corporations. I’m excited to see more sustainable initiatives from popular brands, like refillable flacons. But I saw an opportunity to do what they couldn’t - universal refillable flacons. The Refill Label was born out of a desire to disrupt the market and rethink how we use beauty and home products. Together, we can change the game.

Our Inspiration
In the 1920s, during the height of the Art Deco movement, perfume flacons weren’t just containers – they were works of art. Crafted from fine materials like crystal and cut glass, these pieces were meant to be cherished, not discarded. Refilling was the norm. High-end fragrance houses even offered refilling services, making sustainability an elegant tradition long before it became a modern necessity.
At The Refill Label, we are reviving this beautiful, circular approach to luxury. By embracing refillable design, we honor the past while creating a more sustainable future for beauty and home products.

Would you love to switch scents? To perfectly prepare your perfume flacon for a refill of a different fragrance, follow these simple steps:
- Step 1:
Unscrew the spray pump and dispose of it properly. No tools needed. - Step 2:
Rinse the inside of the flacon with lukewarm water. Pour a small amount of (eco-friendly) rubbing alcohol into the flacon and swirl it around to remove any remaining fragrance. - Step 3:
Rinse again, shake out most of the water and allow the flacon to air dry completely. Don’t forget to use the new spray pump (included with the Original Refillable Perfume Flacon).
By following these steps, you can maintain the purity of your perfume and enjoy a fresh experience with every refill.
